Their work and involvement in the community earned them three front page Arizona Republic features, as well as interviews on every news channel in Phoenix area, and in such publications as Money Magazine, the Wall Street Journal, US News and World Report and many others. “2011 has been our best year yet,” says co-founder Greg Markov, “and we’re still growing!”  Phoenix Heritage Real Estate Group has continued to help buyers and sellers throughout various housing market changes and in all walks of life.

At the start of his career, Greg helped build an educational software startup company from a garage to a corporate acquisition. In 2003 he decided to get his real estate license to try his hand in a new field. Having anticipated the market turn early, his team helped hundreds of homeowners avoid foreclosure. His foresight and subsequent success have gained him a great reputation in the industry as the go-to expert. Greg’s real estate team has been ranked in the top 1% in the country for production at various times between 2006 and 2013.

In addition to teaching, Greg speaks at numerous industry events, and has contributed expert opinion for the Wall Street Journal, CNN Money Magazine, CBS, NBC, ABC, The Arizona Republic and US News & World Report (among many others). In 2010, Greg was selected as the presenter and panelist during the keynote at the annual National Association of Realtors Conference.

Originally from Moscow, Russia, Greg has been calling Phoenix his home for the past 32 years. In his free time, Greg is an avid traveler, and an internationally published photographer and writer. He and his wife live in Phoenix and are raising three young boys.

+ Torrey McHale 

 Torrey originally came from Colorado and practically grew up on the ski slopes of Breckenridge in Summit County. He has been a longtime resident of the Phoenix area and calls Arizona home.  He brings with him a Bachelors degree in Business Management and has work experience in a corporate environment with a large aerospace company; taking what he learned in that setting and applying it to his real estate career of over 16 years.

Torrey has worked through the Great Recession and has helped many people through the struggles of losing their homes by way of a short sale or foreclosure, to realizing their dreams of owning a home once again or buying investment properties.  He built a strong network of clients (both buyer and sellers), Realtors, lenders and title representatives.  He continues to foster those relationships and is part of the top 5% of HomeSmart agents and a part of the HomeSmart Elite Group.

HomeSmart is the largest broker in the Southwest and has over 10,000 agents nationwide.  Torrey has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Phoenix Magazine as “Best Real Estate Agent / Copper Club” in November, 2020, and has given market insight to various local news networks as a leading source for market changes.  Throughout his years as a leader in the real estate industry and an active investor,  Torrey enjoys being in front of the public and working to make home buying and selling dreams a reality.  He has a wife and three children that he adores.  Torrey enjoys being active in his community through kids’ sports programs and his local church.
